# \[Legacy] How exactly we make 40K each month with trading (you can too)

Honestly, **it's not such a big of a deal** - we don't have a secret or strategy or anything like that which makes us profitable. We actually **don't even do anything.**

How do we make money of trading then?

Well, in the end it only comes down to 3 super simple things:

## 1. Set up LuxSignals

We literally don't do more than adding LuxSignals Ultimate to the chart and **adjusting it to the best settings exactly like it tells us to do**. We always use maximum Backtesting Range, maximize results for the Profit Factor and we use automatic Risk Management with Low Risk Level.

Our Total Trading Account size for all charts we trade is constantly getting bigger, so we can't name an exact number, but it's important to **reinvest** your profits you make so you can keep making bigger profits and so on.

Then we [create an alert for our bot](/luxsignals/focus/luxsignals-legacy/legacy-trading-bot-luxsignals.md) on the chart and timeframe we optimized the settings for so LuxSignals can trade on its own.

Make sure to use brokers with minimal fees, we use [Interactive Brokers](https://www.interactivebrokers.com/), which is extremely good at keeping costs low.

## 2. Diversify

It's very important to set up the LuxSignals bot on **multiple charts and multiple timeframes** to minimize risks and cancel out big fluctuations for our account (this ultimately minimizes drawdown!)

We mainly set up LuxSignals on different stocks like TSLA, AAPL, MSFT, AMZN etc. on 1 min to 15min timeframes. Then we also used it on 5min and 15min on NQ and SPX.

For Commodities we use XAGUSD and XAUUSD on timeframes between 1 min to 60 hours.

On Forex we trade EURUSD, GBPUSD and USDJPY each on 5min and 15min timeframe only.

In crypto we trade BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT, SOLUSDT, XRPUSDT, BNBUSDT and ADAUSDT. It's important to diversify here as fluctuations here are huge - we only use LuxSignals on the 1min, 3min and 5min timeframes in crypto.

{% hint style="success" %}
**What if I don't have enough money to trade that many charts?**

That's not issue, it will just expose you to a little bit more risk, here's what we would recommend:

1. Only trade 1 to 3 charts at the same time
2. Trade Forex and Stocks if you can (it's a bit safer compared to other markets)
3. Use higher time frames like 5min and 15min (good for optimal fees)
 {% endhint %}

## 3. Adjust periodically

People change, technology changes, the world changes and **markets change.** Thus, it's reasonable to adjust LuxSignals' settings sometimes as price will always change a bit in its behavior (it's invisible for the naked eye, but you will see a difference in the numbers) so the setting you have used half a year ago, aren't up-to-date with the latest price sentiments.

We remove our old alerts and reapply LuxSignals to the chart and set it up with newly updated best settings about every 3 months. The difference in the results here is minimal, but would be bigger if not done over longer periods of time.

## Results

**And yes, that's it.** Simply changing LuxSignals' settings like it recommends to is the most important thing - this is enabled us, to **stop our 9-5** and fully focus on our indicators like LuxSignals and enjoying our life. This strategy has **never had a drawdown bigger than 7%, is making us about 10% each month** constantly and **you can easily copy that too** and start seeing profitable results within the next 30 days.

**Reading the rest of the guide** will definitely further help you, as you will be able to use this knowledge later on for your own advantage.
